How about this for a bargain Italian Stallion? Fiat have called upon notable business stablemate Ferrari to meddle with the new 500. Here is what they came up with, the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari.
Loaded to the hilt with Maranello-inspired colours and stripes, it will comforting for future owners to know that Ferrari involvement in this limited edition run is more than skin deep. First and foremost, the same 1.4 litre T-Jet engine has been tweaked by Ferrari engineers, pushing power from 99 Kw (on the normal 500) up to 135 Kw. Not bad, considering the proportions and weight are still 500-class.
Brakes are uprated 284 mm Brembos, sitting within some nice 17 inch wheels. Suspension has also been given the once over, placing an emphasis on performance and agility. More details will be forthcoming along with the release at the Frankfurt Motor Show, so stay tuned.
