Alfa Romeo have released some juicy details about a special-edition MiTo headed for the Land Of The Rising Sun.
Prospective Japanese customers will have to option of upgrading to the limited edition Imola, which includes goodeis like 18-inch wheels, red brake calipers, chrome rear-vision mirror capping and an uprated, Imola-yellow themed interior. You can get it painted in any colour as well, as long as it’s Imola Yellow.
Production is apparently limited to only 150 units, so you better quickly finish your bowl of udon and rush down to the local dealer. the normal MiTo is popular enough, the Imola edition will probably get snapped up faster than you can say ‘banzai!’
The MiTo is a cute little shape, especially in the tradtional red. How does this yellow feel on the panels? Somewhere between vomit and poo, it reminds me of that ‘baby-poo brown’ that used to be prevalent in the late 60’s and 70’s. Maybe it’s a funny attempt at retro-chic, Alfa’s version of the Union-Jack roof.
Whether the Imola edition is to your taste or not, you can rest assured that the sprightly, well built MiTo is still underneath. Ride quality may suffer from the bigger wheels, though.
