On the back of some electrifying performances likes Ford’s footage of their run up the mountain, it reminded me of some iconic and bewildering footage from a rallying era gone by; Climb Dance.
Depicting Finnish driver Ari Vatanen driving a Peugeot 405 T16 to a record time of 10:47.77 up the faece-inducing Pike’s Peak rally stage, the video has won many awards, including:
- Grand Prix Du Film in Festival De Chamonix, 1990
- Silver Screen at US Industrial Film & Video Festival Chicago, 1990
- Prix Special Du Jury at the Festival International Du Film D’Aventure Val D´Isere, 1990
- Golden Award at the International Film Festival Houston, 1990
