The Renault-Nissan alliance, in unison with French electric utility EDF have announced that 100 examples of their electric-driven cars will get thrown into real-world testing during 2010 around Paris.
Many are speculating that this will peg the release dates of an electric-powered Kangoo, Megane and a dedicated Nissan EV during mid-2011.
A press release from the alliance has stated that cars will be driven by a century of Toms, Dicks and Harrys throughout metropolitan Paris using charging networks at home, work and in the public domain.
It will be interesting to see how much publicity the test cars will receive, as it will be a major determining factor in the poluarlity and public perception of many models for Renault/Nissan across many continents around the globe.
