BMW is aiming to release their most fuel-efficient combustion engine yet, with a technologically advanced 2.0 litre turbo diesel four cylinder in the new 316d ES.
With a claimed fuel efficiency of 3.75 l/100km, the Bavarians combine the new, ultra frugal engine along with EfficientDynamics technology to keep you away from the servo. Carbon emisssions are also noticably lower, at 118 grams per kilometre.
The 316d ES should sneak under $50,000 in the Australian market, with a date yet to be announced.
